Australia Cup
Our Men’s Premier League entered the pretigious Australia Cup
Tournament and following two sensational games, have come to the end
of our campaign.
A 15-0 win over Albion Park City saw us advance to the next round and we travelled to
Richmond on Wednesday night to take on the NPL League 2 team, Hawkesbury City.
It was a brilliant game against a much higher level representative team and boy, dodn’t
we do ourselves proud! It was a see-sawing encounter with 7 goals in a thrilling and
entertaining game.
Though we went down 4-3, to take 3 goals from our highly fancied opposition was simply
excellent. Great work guys, we are very proud.

The Rams introduce another defibrillator.
It’s quite a hike from the clubhouse down to fields 2 and 3 so we’ve purchased another defibrillator and created a
first aid station. The new defibrillator, injury ice, a first aid kit and sunscreen are all housed under a dedicated
medical marquee. It is largely self serve as we have yet to find a volunteer to man the facility but it is a great
addition nonetheless. Particularly so given a recent Nine News report on the affects of Long COVID.
Long COVID affects community sports players (9news.com.au)
The Rams encourage all of our Over 35s and 45s to consider
their fitness and consult with their medical professional.
The Rams would also like to acknowledge the NSW Government who covered half the cost
of the defibrillator through their NSW Office of Sport Local Defibrillator grants program.
MiniRoos Presentation Day
Our presentation for our MiniRoos (U5s to U11s) will be held at Rams HQ next Saturday 19 August. Usually
held on the last round of the season, we’ve had to move it forward a week.
Whether at home or away we ask for all teams to make their way back to our grounds for a special team
presentation. There is no time schedule as each team will take a turn when everyone is ready to go. For
example we may have 2 U5 teams playing first at 8am so after their games one team can take centre stage in
front of family and friends before moving on, where the next team can then move in for its turn.
If you are playing away we ask that could the team return to Rams HQ after your match for their
presentation and to also make sure they don't miss out on the snowcones, fairy floss and popcorn from our
friends at Harringtons!
Teams who play later in the afternoon may wish to do their presntation earlier in the day before heading to
their game, its your teams choice however we would like to see all teams take part in THEIR special day!

We’re holding our annual Pink Round at East Gosford this week with a showcase Women’s Premier League Match,
the ‘Kate Cup’ which commemorates the life of Kate McCartin, an outgoing and cheeky, fun loving young lady,
whom sadly lost her long hard battle to cancer and in whose memory, our annual Pink Round was inaugurated.
Through our Pink Round we build on her legacy, by bringing all our amazing women’s teams together and
celebrating the day in style.
This year inspires us to build this day even bigger with a fun day from start to finish. All teams are invited to wear
pink socks in solidarity of the day and for the girls, yellow scrunchies/ribbons to honour Kate. Our WPL team will
also wear the pink strip during their match.
Before kick off we ask you to join us in a minute of silence to remember Kate. This is our circle of love. It is a
special time and a special game.
Each year we fundraise for a special cause with a live raffle, scrunchies to purchase, a half time heroes challenge
(held in the WPL match) and cake stall run by our women’s players and supporters. This year we will also have a
prize for best “retro” jersey worn to the game.
This year our fundraising will be divided between a very young Ram and his family who are sadly beginning a
cancer journey of their own and the Women’s Coast Shelter.
Through true East Gosford Rams spirit we use this round to help back to our community to those less fortunate.
Please join us throughout the day from 8am when our Junior Women’s kick off to our WPL Kate Cup match at
2:45pm. With many women’s games in between.

The shop is open all weekend every weekend during the season.

New Club Polo Shirt!
We’ve just released a new club polo shirt manufactured right here
on the Central Coast by ZBR. Retailing for $55.00, we only add a
small markup, just like all our other merch. They look terrific with
the new indigenous highlights we’ve included following our recent
Acknowledge Country piece of work.
Fixtures, Results and Tables
Job done. We’ve saved ourselves from relegation and
we’ll be competing in the top flight Premier League
competition again in 2025. Commiserations to Avoca and
Woy Woy who have been relegated to Division 1.
We took on Woongarrah with lots of hope and enthusiasm
on a hot and windy Father’s day.
U21s were unlucky with a narrow loss, Ressies were
brilliant with a solid win and with the league
championship up for grabs, Woongarrah’s 1sts were
always going to be hard to beat.
No finals for our boys in this year but we’ll be looking to
improve significantly next season.

The Kincumber Roos have enjoyed a couple of draws against
us this year and we expected a big game from them in the
Final. We got it alright and we had to be near our best to
defeat them this time. We turned up for this one and were
well rewarded. In a replay of 2023, we take on Terrigal
again in the big dance. Let’s hope we can take the
chocolates again!

Winners!
Wow, what a win. Umina have been our nemesis
for such a long time but the tables are turning!
In a great game of football we edged them out by
a solitary goal and after a tumultuous lead up, it
was so very sweet to get the win.
The club is hugely proud of the team, the coaches
and manager and all of the loyal supporters.
Yeah the Girls!
Women’s Sapphire Cup
Our ladies had a big task in Round 3, taking on the might of APIA Leichhardt who are undefeated in the Women’s NPL. Sporting a few A-
League players and an ex Matilda, we knew we’d have to bring our A game to avoid humiliation and we did ourselves and our club proud.
Though the final result was lop-sided, we scored, and against that outfit, that was impressive.
We had a great campaign and will be the better for it. Congratulations girls, you’ve done very well!
News
Yeah the Girls! How about a Grand Final win!
Football itself is a wonderful sport and within every competition there
is usually a historical rivalry with another club, a hoodoo team you
can’t seem to conquer and yes, a club many would like to see fall over.
All these wonderful ingredients were there in varying quantities this
season and, for the first time in our club’s history, we claimed gold in
the final contest. Premiers has a nice ring to it. Congratulations on
your well deserved 3-2 win over Terrigal ladies.
News
Terrigal were always going to be hard to beat but we knew we had
the substance to give it a red hot go and that’s what we did. Despite
conceding early, we hung on doggedly and we were rewarded with an
equaliser later in the second half. A small lapse in concentration
right at the death created an opening for their attack and we
couldn’t recover from that. A huge effort and we’re very proud of our
achievements given all we wanted from this year was to consolidate
our spot in the top flight competition. Well done boys.
